Months on, the iconic "Red House" on Rocks Road is a reminder of the extensive damage caused to land and homes last year from the heavy rainfall in Nelson that was undoubtedly a devastating event for the community.
Our hearts go out to the families that lost their homes during this time. It's heart-wrenching to see people's lives disrupted and their homes destroyed by such a natural disaster.
Safe Hire was called in to provide fencing and roading barriers to ensure safety and security along Rocks Road and the Whangamoa River providing protection around housing, slips and the dumping sites.
